Friends of Thorassia - Musicians

Music plays a vital role in the making of a great film. What better way to signify the importance of a moment or the feelings of the characters. Music has the ability to communicate what can't be said but must be felt. Thorassia believes that music is core to the filmmaking process and those artists that contribute to films through their music should be acknowledged. Please take the opportunity to listen and explore some of Indy's best music talents and their music. Break of Reality

We like this band so much we used them as the exclusive music in our film the Nicholl's Letter. The pacing of their music fits the film perfectly. Break of Reality is a cello quartet gone mad.

They're madness is serving them well; the band is filling concert venues around the country with fans eager to hear “cello rock”. Break of Reality’s sound is cinematic, subdued and heavy all at once. Their live audiences are equally diverse; fans of Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Yo Yo Ma are finally getting acquainted.

Upshot

Tonos Triad

They are an acoustic trio consisting mainly of upright bass, classical guitar, and accordion. Besides these instruments, they play a home made suit case drum set, mandolin, and melodica. They compose all original instrumental music that is a unique combination of jazz, folk, classical and avant-garde with overtones of popular music. Their music is particularly suited for filmmaking. Let me us know what you think. They are very close to completing their first full length album. It will be the most accurate depiction of what their current sound is. The Founders

The Founders recently recorded two songs at Ball State University for the student film "Free Wall." They're a rock band with a sound that is similar to late '60s hard rock (Led Zeppelin, Cream, Steppenwolf) and '80s college rock (Pixies, Husker Du). Check them out at their website.
